Today’s photo is of the Commodore Theater on High Street in downtown Portsmouth. It’s a fully restored Art Deco movie theater complete with curtains they pull back when the movie is about to start. They have little tables set up with lamps and phones so you can order dinner before the movie starts.

I took it on the way to a PhotoShop class at the Art Center. It was near sunset, and they had just turned on the marquee. If you look closely, you’ll see two MINI Coopers near the right edge. The one in front is mine.

This image didn’t take much processing, just a little cropping to remove some messy pavement in the street. I didn’t need to enhance the colors at all; it was a pretty evening with a beautiful blue sky and fluffy clouds.
