This is a pair of socks I knitted a few years ago, and it was a lot simpler than it looks. Traditionally, you would work using a difficult technique with many colors to get this effect. It’s a good thing that’s no longer necessary or I would never have made these; I used a yarn designed to knit up into this pattern. Computer science, meet knitting!

I did not have to do extensive processing to create the final image. I adjusted the colors to show them correctly and then cropped the photo into a square.
