A simple square paper lantern. It was a quick grab. I saw it, grabbed my iPhone , and captured it, but not before I tilted the phone a little.

The lampshade is actually beige paper and a little blah in real life. I knew the photo would look better as black and white, so my first step was to convert the image. I also increased the brightness and boosted the contrast, keeping some of the original detail. Finally, I decided it would look better as a square image, so I cropped.
